Should I update the car or not?

No I don't mean buy a new one. I mean should I push that inviting yellow button to perform a software update. Its been a while since I have been so nervous about suc a simple step. Go on push it I dare you. Yes you heard it right, I am talking about performing the OTA upgrade of the software in my ID 3 in this case from version 3.2 to 3.7 OTA. There are plenty of posts and pictures on Facebook of VW ID cars being bricked so you and I have every right to be nervous. And it takes over 4 hours, you can't use the car or dare wake it up and it gives you no indication of progress or whether it worked or not. Its like S/W updates from the dark ages. But after all that I am pleased to say it worked. And yes of course you have to reapply any settings you made to your home screen and of course you have to update some of the software apps afterwards because it was of course a relatively major upgrade all things considered. And what are the new things we can play with. Well zero. Yes it just a bit faster and a bit more reliable - or so we are told...
